It sounds like a track I should have known a long time ago, instead I had to read about it in a Mixmag album review, of all places. All about the bassline – something Tale Of Us would play. Dark and bassy.
I’ve been listening to a few tracks from Loco Dice’s new album and this is a real stand out – a gently rising tech-house monster with techno drums and energetic percussion. I used to think he had perhaps lost it but if he had – then he is right back on form with this album.
This is just about a big fat dirty bassline, it also has a bit of a hip-hop influence, amongst requests for people to smoke week and finishes on a mini-rant about forum bitches in a high-pitched vocodered voice.
It’s all about the really solid, chunky beat. I used to be a big fan of Florian Meindl as a DJ but as he went much techier, I lost interest. But this track is superb.
I was a bit of a dick with this – I noted down only the name of the artist and then had to listen to loads of his tracks to remember which one it was.
Oh this is a bit special from one of dance music’s newest legends, and Phil Moffa, whom I have to admit I don’t know about. A gently pulsating opera-themed tech-house track.
I’m not the world’s biggest fan of Pan-Pot, but this is a nice track, steeped in dub techno sensibility, but taking it to more of a tech-house kind of edge with a definite minimal techno influence.
Quite a few years old, seems to have passed me by originally.
Absolute monster of a filthbag, with mind-bending sounds sounding like a growling helicopter noise inside a tech-house kind of beat, as dirty as a Glastonbury dog. Would be absolutely immense on a big system.
